History
Located at a small town 8km from Hwaam-myeon. there are a lot of Pine Nut Treesin this area. there is a small river which servers as the Sam Cheok gun. The Mill is don't have riht side of the river. We don't have the exact documents of this water mill but according to the oral tradition it was built in the 1890's. The farmers used this natural power to manufacture thier produce. It is still in use today. People composed many Jeong Seon Arirang Melodies from Water Mills. The watermill was used as anology to our bitter - sweet lives. The mill is a necessitty of the culture of our modern eating habits. This is the only water mill in the area that is still working.

Special Features of the WaterMill
1.That WaterMill works by hydraulic power. This power spins the wheel which results with the pounding of cereals.
2. The WaterMill was a great necessity for the brand - tillers and fire field formmers. This remote place is a preservation of how they used to live.
3. We don't have historical documents for this WaterMill butthe local residents belibe that it was made 100 years ago. Of the 6 WaterMills around this area only " Bae Jeon Ri " WaterMill still runs.
4. Bae Jeon Ri is fed from a nearby reservoir. The upper part of the reservoir the spring has a large quantity of water. Geographically, Baek Jun Ri WaterMill's location has ideal conditions.
5. This WaterMill is conposed of a spinning wheel and a mill building. The wheel is made of pine and the Mill is made out of oak.
6. Baek Jeon Ri WaterMill is in good condition. In 1992 it was repaired using hemp and wood. The building has two rooms with stone roofs.
