Go Sung Ri Mount Fortress Wall

Description : an oval shaped tone wall built to rein force a fortress
Location : Jun 893, 894, 898, San 319th, Go Seong - ri, Sin Dong - eup, Jeong Seon - gun, Gang Won - do
Proprietor : Department of Forestry

History
A fortress was built on top of a mountain. On the north west side of the fortress was the Dong River. The fortress was built in a circular shape. the north side of the fortress is still in good condition, but the south side has collapsed. There days, the fortress land is used for farming.
On the east side of the fortress there are trace remains of an old beacon light house. In
1997the fortress was the subject of scholastic research and repairs were began the same year.
